Storytime
Japanese work culture is very demanding and at times failures can be unforgiving. Our school had seasonal sales goal that seemed impossible to reach by the deadline. We were tasked with selling self study materials to all of our student’s parents. With such a high sales goal me and my small staff worked together to create a daily breakdown chart of how much we need to sell per day, which students by day would we plan to sell to and what key sales points would we hit to sway parents to invest in our self study material for their child. By the deadline we fortunately surpassed our goal. What I learned from partially constructing this plan is the more thorough you are when constructing a plan the less you will have to search for when executing it. This particular business strategy gave me essential skills that helped me pay closer attention to detail, problem solve, analyze data and develop a flow with my colleagues.
